In addition to criminal defense, Amanda co-chairs the Firm’s Juvenile Practice Group, specializing in DCF child protection cases and the defense of juvenile clients charged with crimes.  Amanda regularly appears in Connecticut juvenile courts, to defend parents against allegations of abuse or neglect made by DCF.  Amanda is also experienced in appealing and litigating DCF substantiations of abuse or neglect.

In addition to her practice in Connecticut courts, Amanda also co-chairs the Firm’s cutting-edge Internet Scrubbing Group, a unique practice that Amanda developed with Attorney Sherman when Amanda began working at the Firm as a paralegal in 2011.  Since 2011, the Firm has successfully assisted over 150 clients remove their arrest reports from media website, in order to protect client’s digital reputations following an arrest.

Amanda has been a member of the Connecticut Bar Association since 2015, and regularly attends educational seminars to stay current with the law and to receive additional legal training and education on her fields of practice.  Amanda was appointed as a Presidential Fellow for the Connecticut Bar Association from 2019 to 2021, a two year appointment, where she served on a committee for the practice of criminal defense in Connecticut.

Amanda received her Bachelor of Arts degree – cum laude – from Loyola University Maryland in 2011.  Amanda earned her Juris Doctorate – cum laude – from the Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2015, with an honors concentration in Health Law and a certificate in Dispute Resolution.  Prior to joining the Firm as an attorney in 2015, Amanda worked as a paralegal for the Firm from 2011-2012, and later worked as a legal intern for the Firm before graduating from law school in 2015.
