Michael C. Bivona
Attorney Michael C. Bivona is a member of the Connecticut Bar. Since joining the firm in November of 2013, Michael has worked on cases involving an array of practice areas, including criminal defense, civil litigation, employment law, and appeals.
After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Quinnipiac University in 2010, Michael earned his Juris Doctor - magna cum laude - with an honors concentration in Criminal Law and Advocacy from the Quinnipiac University School of Law. While at Quinnipiac Law, Michael served as the Executive Vice President for the Mock Trial Honor Society. He was also part of the regional championship team at the 2012 Quinnipiac Law / ABA Criminal Justice Trial Advocacy Competition, winning the prestigious Best Overall Advocate award.
Upon graduating law school, Michael received a number of academic awards and honors, including the Arnold J. Bai Award given to the student who demonstrates outstanding potential and promise in trial litigation.
Prior to joining the firm as attorney in 2013, Michael worked as an intern at the Law Offices of Mark Sherman during the academic year and summer of 2012. In addition, while attending law school, Michael worked as a research assistant to the law school's Dean Jennifer G. Brown, and was a certified legal intern in the Quinnipiac University School of Law Civil Justice Clinic where he represented low-income clients. He also served as an intern for the New Haven State's Attorney's Office.
